Jerusalema-Inklu-Dance-Challenge  – Submit by 01st April 2021

Great you are here! We can only do it together!

In Corona times joy is rare but even more important! We have therefore thought about some fun activity and would like to bring forward a JERUSALEMA-INCLUSION-DANCE-CHALLENGE. However, we are dependant on YOUR participation and are looking forward to your entries. The complete video will be published on 5th May 2021, the European Day of Equality for individuals with disabilities.

Many of you may already know the dance, some may not. Please google Jerusalema-Dance-Challenge to get some background information about this world-wide movement, that we would like to enrich by an “inclusive version” and with you!

This is the original song video (mostly without the respective dance :-)

Bei unserer Challenge geht es nicht darum, den Tanz perfekt zu beherrschen!

Here’s what we would like to see

  1. Record a short video and load it up (max. 2 mins). A short sequence of 8 or 16 bars will do, it really doesn’t have to be the entire dance! In the end, we will put together lots of short video sequences. With your entry you confirm, that your part can be published within the context of the overall video. → click here to get to video-upload
  2. This is voluntary! Would you like to see your name at the end of the video? In that case, please go to our prepared document and enter your name, whether in full, or just your first name with city and/or country, that’s entirely up to you. here you get to the document. The document is accessible for everyone and your names will be publicly visible - as in the later video. Please only register, if you consent.

You can:

  • dance the Jerusalem dance
  • just sway with the rhythm
  • do a funny face or move your eyes
  • send a standing/sitting/lying down picture as short video sequence
  • wiggle your head, foot or wave your hand
  • others can move you to the rhythm or carry you
  • engage you and your wheel chair as a dance utensil
  • feel free to dress up (since carnival is cancelled) etc. etc. etc. Use your imagination
  • Remember, you are the creative ones, you know what you can accomplish and most of all, it should be visibly FUN!
  • click here to get to video-upload

Get inspired, motivated and have fun by simply clicking the various videos on YouTube on the subject…. here’s a direct link to videos on YouTube: → here direct link to videos on Youtube

There is also different videos which teach you how to actually do the dance. You should however allow around 30 minutes for the instruction :-) It really is a lot of fun, especially if you are not too serious about it ;-) Please search Youtube to find the tutorial that suits you best.

We are excited about this project with you and are looking forward to your videos!
